Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6 Pro at an event in China earlier today. The latest low-cost device in the manufacturer’s Redmi Pro series, detailed on Xiaomi’s mi.com (Chinese) website, is the first to adopt a notch, but it maintains the aging octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC that’s now almost synonymous with Xiaomi.

The Redmi 6 Pro arrives with a 5.84-inch, 19:9 display at 2,280 x 1,080 resolution (FHD+), up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB internal storage (up to 256GB with microSD card expansion).

There’s a vertically-mounted, 12MP + 5MP dual-camera on the back, with f/2.2 aperture lens, and a 5MP camera up front. These cameras support a string of software features such as AI Face Unlock, Portrait Mode, Night Scene Enhancement, Auto HDR, AI beautification effects, and more.
