How to Create a Partition on Windows 10

 

You can use the Disk Management to resize, create, delete and format partitions and change their drive letters This Video will show you how to Shrink and create space for a Windows 10 partition on your drive, or Follow this simple steps:

1.Navigate to the Computer Management by

A.Right Click on This PC Icon then Select Manage

OR

B.Click on Start then Click on File Explorer then Right Click on This PC then Select Manage

2.Double-click on Disk Management under the Storage submenu

3. Open Disk Management and right click on the Windows partition.

4. Select the “Shrink Volume” option.

5.Enter the amount of space to shrink on MB then Click on Shrink

6-When the shrink operation has completed you should see an area of Unallocated

7.Right click on the “Unallocated” space then Select the New Simple Volume

8.You’ll see the New Simple Volume wizard

9.Click on Next

10.setting a size for the partition then Click on Next

11.assigning a drive letter then Click on Next

12.Check Format this volume then choose file system then Give the Volume label (name for the partition)

13. Click on Finish
